Obituary: Marion Norma Boyd, 102, Bardstown

MARION NORMA BOYD

Marion Norma Boyd, 102, of Bardstown, died at 2:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at Flaget Hospital in Bardstown. She was a native of Hopkinsville. She was born Sept. 18, 1916 to the late Harry J. Boyd and Marion Cousineau Boyd. She lived in Hopkinsville until 2015 before relocating to Bardstown. She owned and operated Norma’s Beauty Salon, was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

She is survived by five nephews, Andy Stratton (Alice) of Mayfield, Tony Stratton (Julie) of Cincinnati, Tim Stratton (Cindy) of Chapel Hill, N.C., Paul Stratton of Pittsboro, N.C., and Roth Stratton (Lisa) of Bardstown; and many great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

The funeral is noon Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hopkinsville with the Rev. Father Richard Meredith officiating. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at the church.

The Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home in Hopkinsville is in charge of arrangements.
