Carl Ray Thomas Blackburn, 34, of Taylorsville, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, in Taylorsville. He was born June 27, 1984, in Louisville to Carl and Charlotte Milburn Blackburn. He was an independent contractor for his mowing service.

He is survived by his daughter, Aniston Jane Curtsinger of Fairfield; his parents, Carl “Shorty” and Charlotte Blackburn of Taylorsville; one brother, Calvin Blackburn of Taylorsville; his maternal grandmother, Evelyine Milburn of Chaplin; his best friend, Joseph Lee (Carlie) Burden; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville with burial in the Valley Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at the funeral home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the family for funeral expenses.

The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
