David Leo Ball, 70, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019 at his home.

He was preceded in death by one brother, John Christopher Ball.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Zahiya “Sue” Ball; two sons Shadi Ball and Joseph Ball, both of Jacksonville; five sisters, Marian Anne Kremer of Bardstown, Marie Michelle Clark of Lebanon, Linda Willett of Jeffersontown, Sarah Louise Norton of Littleton, Colo., and Mary Virginia Hudson of Bloomington, Ind; five brothers, Joseph Lawrence Ball of New Haven, Charles Thomas Ball of Boston, Cyril Francis Ball of Denver, Colo., Mark Stephen Ball of Knoxville, Tenn., and James Anthony Ball of San Jose, Calif.; and one grandchild, Vash Ball.

The funeral was 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, at the Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Fla., with the Rev. John Shalhoub officiating.
