Obituary: Macey Alexandria Mitchell, 26, Taylorsville

Macey Alexandria Mitchell, 26, of Taylorsville, died Sunday, March 10, 2019, in Lexington. She was born July 24, 1992, in Louisville to Thomas and Lisa Furrow Mitchell. She was a 2011 graduate of Spencer County High School where she was on the dance team.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lisa Kim Furrow Mitchell.

She is survived by her father, Thomas Mitchell of Taylorsville; one sister, Ashley Mitchell of Charlestown, Ind.; one brother, Ryan Mitchell of Taylorsville; two aunts, Krissy (Rusty) Holt of North Carolina and Tracy Furrow of New Haven; four uncles, Phil Mitchell of California, Bill (Brenda) Mitchell of Atlanta, Ga., John Mitchell of Florida, and Joe (Jenna) Mitchell of Indianapolis; and several cousins and friends.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2019, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville.

Visitation is noon-8 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019, at the funeral home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the family for funeral expenses.

The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
