Friday, May 3, 2019 — The Bardstown Police Department have apprehended a suspect who is believed to have robbed the Culpepper Street branch of Wilson & Muir Bank and Trust.

City police and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office were notified of the robbery just before 2 p.m. Friday afternoon. The suspect left the bank in what was described as either a white PT Cruiser or HHR SUV-type vehicle.

The woman who was identified as the robbery suspect was not carrying a visible weapon. She was described as a white woman who was wearing a light gray top with pink lettering and dark pants.

In less than five minutes from the initial call, a city police officer reported spotting the vehicle the suspect was driving and began following it while other officers began to head in that direction.
