Resident who walked away from Isaiah House indicted on numerous charges

Wednesday, June 5, 2019 — The Glasgow man who walked away from the Isaiah House drug rehabilitation center in Chaplin on May 16, 2019, was indicted Wednesday by a Nelson County grand jury.

James Joshua Robinson, 27, was indicted Wednesday on charges that stem from his theft of one vehicle and attempted theft of a second, his attempt to break into one home, and then breaking into two other Chaplin homes after he left the Isaiah House on foot on Thursday, May 16, 2019.

Robinson was indicted for robbery, first-degree; assault, first-degree; burglary, second-degree; criminal mischief, first-degree; theft by unlawful taking or disposition – auto, $500 or more but under $10,000; wanton endangerment, first-degree; criminal mischief, second-degree; menacing; operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc.; reckless driving (2 counts); disregarding stop sign. Bail was set at $100,000 cash only, plus conditions.
