Bardstown man arrested on indictment warrants for local trailer thefts

Saturday, June 8, 2019 — The Bardstown man indicted Wednesday by a Nelson County grand jury for the theft of equipment trailers was arrested Saturday by the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office.

Mitchell Ray Ramsey, 38, was arrested at 7:24 a.m. according to the uniform citation.

Ramsey was indicted Wednesday for the alleged theft of three equipment trailers that were stolen during the month of May, each having a value of more than $500 but less than $10,000. Ramsey was also charged with being a persistent felony offender in the first-degree. That charge was based on his prior felony convictions.

Ramsey’s bail was set at $50,000 cash only, plus conditions. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
