Mount Washington teen dies in two-vehicle Louisville Road crash near High Grove

Monday, Sept. 23, 2019 — A Mount Washington teen died Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash that happened at about 3:15 p.m. on Louisville Road near its intersection with Deatsville Road, KY 523.

According to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Kalli Dobson, 18, of Mount Washington, died at the scene after the vehicle she was driving on Deatsville apparently failed to yield at the stop sign at the Louisville Road intersection and was struck in the driver’s side by a vehicle operated by Brenda Salyers, 71.

A passenger in Dobson’s vehicle, Kevin Pase, 19, of Mount Washington, was injured in the crash and was treated at the scene by Nelson County EMS. He was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment of his his injuries.

Salyers was also treated at the scene by EMS before she was transported to Flaget hospital.

The sheriff’s office was assisted at the accident scene by the Nelson County Fire Department.

Deputy Dennis Wells is investigating the collision.
