ECTC to host free tuition session through its Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship

NC GAZETTE / WBRT RADIO
STAFF REPORT

Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019 — Free tuition will be the subject of an informational session to be held at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, 2019, in Room 212 of the Regional Postsecondary Center on the college’s Elizabethtown Campus.

The Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship offers free tuition to Kentucky residents who don’t have a degree and want to earn a credential in one of five high-demand career areas, including advanced manufacturing, IT, business, healthcare and transportation/logistics.

A panel of ECTC faculty representing the various career fields will be available to answer questions about opportunities in eligible programs, and financial aid staff will be on hand to explain how the application process works. This is a perfect opportunity to learn first-hand about this important scholarship, which has no age or income limits. However, for those who are unable to attend the session in person, it will be streamed on Facebook Live at ECTC’s Facebook page. Facebook.com/ElizabethtownCTC. Those watching on Facebook will also have an opportunity to ask questions via a moderator.

Anyone interested in enrolling in classes, including those eligible for the Work Ready Scholarship, will be encouraged to attend Express Enrollment on October 7 and 8, from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. each day.
