Obituary: John Clinton ‘Clint’ Lankswert, 53, Bardstown

John Clinton “Clint” Lankswert, 53, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, at his home. He was born Aug. 26, 1969, in Louisville to the late Louis John and Eva Marie Gutman Lankswert. He was a former operator for UPS, loved to play pool and travel. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Louisville Ky.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one niece, Alissa Nicole Knight.

He is survived by his wife, Shannon Mattingly Lankswert of Bardstown; two sons, Josh Mattingly of Louisville and Michael Eckmann of California; two sisters, Vicki (Michael) McClain of Goshen and Linda Lankswert of Louisville; and eight nieces and nephews.

In following with his wishes, cremation was chosen by the family. Memorial visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, and after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
