Obituary: Naomi Bernice Linton, 62, Louisville

Naomi Bernice Linton, 62, of Louisville, died Monday, May 5, 2025, at Baptist Health. She was born Jan. 29, 1963, in Bardstown. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the “Just Because Club.” She was a graduate of Bardstown High School and loved the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Mary Catherine Tonge; three sisters, Delores Ann Yocum, Janice Louise Phillips and Joanna Marie Tonge; and three brothers, James Melody Greathouse Sr., Wallace Leon “Gator” Tonge Jr. and
Robert Nathaniel Tonge.

She is survived by one daughter, LaVonda “Nicky” Randle of Louisville; one son, Joseph Linton Jr. (Crystal) of Lexington; two sisters, Ella (Thomas) Smalley and Denise Faye Tonge; two brothers, William (Clara) Tonge and Michael Wayne Tonge; five grandchildren, Christion Linton, Landon Edwards, Jordan Linton, Kenadie Linton and Bryce Randle; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at First Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Phillips officiating. Burial is in Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2025, and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the First Baptist Church.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
