Judy Ratliff Elliott, 85,+ of Bardstown died Friday, May 23, 2025, with her loving friends by her side. She was born Feb. 28, 1940, in Bullitt County to the late G.D. and Ruby Ratliff.

She was a member of Cedar Grove Methodist Church, where she and her husband Frank were very active and organized what became the “kids Club”. They did missionary work in Belize, as well as the St. Joseph Indian School in South Dakota. Helping kids was of paramount importance.
She taught elementary school in Bullitt County for 30 years and was a member of KTRS. She was a strong advocate for public education and touched so many children’s lives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and best friend Frank; one sister Shelby (Chester) Allen; and a special niece Bobby Baker.
She is survived by one niece, Shelia; two nephews, Gussy (Tina), Sam (Mary) Allen; three great-nephews, Sammy Allen, Josh (Crystal) Allen and Adley Allen; and her extended family, Jerry Hardin, Brent Long, Karen Douglas, Tina Fox and Jimmy and Glenna (Spratt) Hatfield.
The funeral is noon Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Maraman-Billings Funeral Home with Jimmy Hatfield officating. Burial is in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is 2-6 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025, and 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the funeral home.
The Maraman-Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville is in charge of arrangements.
