Obituary: Kevin Matthew Jankoski, 58, Bardstown

Kevin Matthew Jankoski, 58, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, perseverance, courage and strength. He was a devoted husband, doting father and a loyal friend.

He was born Dec. 14, 1966, in Groton, Mass., to the late Phillip and Barbara Hall Jankoski Sr. He served with honor in the U.S. Army, and later dedicated his life to continued service to his country and community. He was known for his passion, strength, loyalty, wisdom, faith in God, and burning love for his family and his country. He never met a stranger and would always step up to help those who needed it. He enjoyed cooking, loved horses and firearms.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by one sister, Patricia Kohler; and one brother, Donald Jankoski.

He is survived by his wife, Nina Jankoski, whose life and soul were made complete by his presence. They shared joy and sorrow, and walked together hand in hand through times of trouble and times of perfect happiness. He is survived by his sons, Cole and Anthony, and daughters, Penelope and Llewellyn, as well as his sisters, Nancy (Al) and Heather, and brother, Phillip Jr. “Skip”. He is also survived by Blitz, his loyal service dog of 12 years.

The memorial visitation will be at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 12:00-4:00 pm where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate his life and share memories. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Smoky Mountain Service Dogs.

Kevin, you are loved and missed. You will be remembered for your strength, compassion, and your bright spirit which warmed and affected all those around you. Till we meet again.
