Robert Bernard “Bobby” Leake, 80, of Raywick, died at his home Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025. He was born in Marion County on May 26, 1945. He retired after 30 years with General Motors in Indianapolis. He proudly served as a U.S. Marine Corps veteran in Vietnam. He will be remembered for his passion for restoring classic cars, trucks, and tractors, as well as his special bond with his dog, Lady. He was a devoted Christian.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Werner Leake Sr. and Mary Elsie Minor; three siblings, Phyllis Leake, Junior Leake, and Charles Leake.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Leake of Fairmount, Ind. and Pam Barker (Mike) of Greenwood, Ind.; one son, Rob Leake (Kim) of Martinsville, Ind.; four sisters, Lois Leake (Bill) of Paulsboro, N.J., Ruth Wells (Alan) of Louisville, Barbara Leake of Bardstown, and Judy Leake of Florida; two brothers, Jerry Leake (Sumi) of Raywick and Larry Leake of LaFayette, La.; six grandchildren, Jessie, Kody, Andrew, Hannah, Kayla, and Dylan; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, at Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto with Deacon Dennis A. May officiating. Burial is in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, at the funeral home with a 7 p.m. prayer service.
