Obituary: Nancy Morgan Bean, 89, Cox’s Creek

Nancy Morgan Bean, 89, of Cox’s Creek, died Wednesday Nov. 19, 2025, at Baptist Health Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was born Feb. 9, 1936, in Williamstown. She was the retired owner of PFS Sales and Marketing. She loved her animals, especially her dogs. She loved laying out by her pool and being with her family and friends. She was a member of Cox’s Station D.A.R., Eastern Star, American and Kentucky School Food Service, and Bardstown Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel James E. Bean; and her parents, D. B. and Helen Morgan.

She is survived by two daughters, Ann Bean (Danny) Smith, and Lynn Bean (Christina) Marchese, both of Bardstown; one son, Brett Ellis (Paula) Bean of Hattiesburg, Miss.; one sister, Jayne Arnold of Frankfort, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Jamie Redmon, Tyler (Daire) Marchese, Regan Marchese, Kim (Ginny) Nobles, and Rachelle Irvin; six great-grandchildren, Kai Ellis Redmon, J. T. Blaine, Dalton Blaine, Everett, Hayleigh, and Mia; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in New Salem Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation is noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, and 9-11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to Humane Society of Nelson County.
