Obituary: Lillie Mae Curtsinger, 90, Bardstown

Lillie Mae Curtsinger, 90, of Bardstown died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born March 31, 1935, in Taylorsville to the late Ernest Benjamin and Anna Mae Berry Taylor.

She retired from AI Homes window and storm door factory. She enjoyed making ceramics, going to yard sales and tending to her flowers. She was a hard worker, always doing something. She was a member of Bloomfield Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Richard Curtsigner; one sister, Martha Norean Humphrey; one brother, Ernest Lee Taylor; and two grandchildren, Scott Curtsinger and William Lee Wade III.

She is survived by two daughters; Peggy Sue (Glenn Cecil) Rose of New Haven and Sheila Wade of Elizabethtown; two sons, David Ray (Rhonda) Curtsinger of Laconia, Ind. and Eugene R. (Karen) Curtsinger of Bardstown;
one sister, Teresa Skeeters of Louisville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Richard Carwile officiating. Burial is in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, and 9-11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2025.

The Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
