We cover the stories that matter to this community — court news, public records, local government, obituaries, and the everyday life of the county we call home. We are partners with the Bardstown Radio Team and WBRT Radio to provide news and publish video shows on YouTube.
The Gazette is free and always has been because we believe local news should be free. We are supported by local advertisers and by readers like you who choose to contribute. We do not accept grant funding that would influence our editorial decisions, and unlike many other news sources, we do not put our coverage behind a paywall.
The Gazette was launched in May 2005 as an experiment in community journalism. We strive to provide readers with news of value and offer a venue for readers to express their opinion.
