Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026 — Nelson Fiscal Court has announced that there will be no garbage collection tomorrow or Friday, and the Nelson County Landfill will also be closed the rest of the week.
The City of Bardstown announced that it too would suspend garbage collection for the rest of this week.
The moves are designed to safeguard the safety of employees. The plowed snow on city and county roads also can make garbage collection efforts more difficult.
