Monday, Nov. 24, 2025 — As of 9 p.m. local time Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, a new version of the Nelson County Gazette website was launched.
While the site has been under final development these last few weeks, it has been used to post news stories, videos and obituaries while the original Nelson County Gazette site remained offline.
PARDON OUR DUST. The new site is still being tweaked and tuned, so we ask your patience as the site continues to evolve.
The new website was built from the ground-up with a new hosting company and with substantial assistance from Katie Toepp, daughter of Gazette editor Jim Brooks.
“The launch of the this site opens the next chapter in the more than 20-year story of the Nelson County Gazette,” Brooks said. “There’s no shortage of news that needs to be told in Nelson County.”
“We deeply appreciate our readers’ loyalty and viewership of the Gazette, and look forward to serving our community in the months and years ahead.”
