Arthur Lee “Art” Sharp Jr., 74, of Bloomfield, died Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at UofL Hospital at Jewish in Louisville. He was born Aug. 11, 1950, in Clark County to the late Arthur Lee and Juanita Griggs Sharp Sr. He was an employee of BCD Construction. He loved being outdoors and was a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Brogle; and one brother, Richard Sharp.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Staton Sharp; two daughters, Shawna (Bryan) Hutchins and Morgan (Anthony) Ramey, both of Bardstown; three sisters, Wanda (Joe) Sampson of Michigan, Geneva Bryant of Berea and Gloria (Bobby) Tyler of Winchester; four grandchildren Charity Hutchins, Halee Hutchins, Alexous Ramey and Blake Ramey.
In honoring his wishes, cremation was chosen by the family. There will be no public visitation or services.
The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
