John T. “Tom” Boone Jr., 81, of Bardstown, died Saturday, May 10, 2025, at his home. He was born April 25, 1944,, in Bardstown.
He was a retired state plumbing inspector, and retired from the L & N/CSX Railroad. He was a member of the Masons, and loved the Publishing Clearing House. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvia and John T. Boone Sr.; and one sister, Winnie.
He is survived by his wife, Dale Boone; one daughter, Melissa Pile Boone; one son, Bryan Boone; one brother, Sammy; four grandchildren, Collin Boone, Kelly Holcomb, Sarah Pile, and Kayla Boone; and eight great-grandchildren, Alyssa (Atlas), Braydon, Elijah, Emma, Braxton, Delaney, Blake, and Koa.
His wishes were cremation with no services.
Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
