Rhonda Sue Newnam, 49, of Jeffersonville, Ind., died Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Norton Clark Hospital. She was born Aug. 11, 1975, in Louisville to Henrettia Hardin and James Brown Newnam III.
She enjoyed penny shopping and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Brown Newnam III.
She is survived by two daughters, Tina Newnam (Brandon Gordon-Whaley) of Sellersburg, Ind., and Precious Gray of Louisville; one son, Jamie (Maddy) Newnam of Jeffersonville, Ind.; her mother, Henrettia Cox of Taylorsville; two sisters, Angel Grigsby of Shelbyville and Renee Terry of Taylorsville; three brothers, James Brown Newnam IV of Elizabethtown, Wayne Newnam of Shepherdsville, and JJ (Amanda) Newnam of Jeffersontown; her boyfriend, Scottie Wooten; eight grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville with Bro. Chad Goodlett officiating with burial in Valley Cemetery.
Visitation os 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the funeral home.
The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
