Virginia Ray Waldridge, 85, of Taylorsville, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025, at her home. She was born July 31, 1940 in Anderson County to the late James and Beulah Pearl Montgomery Peach. She retired from housekeeping at Days Inn and Signature Healthcare and was a member of Waddy Church of Faith. She enjoyed doing seek and finds and puzzle books and loved going out to eat.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Waldridge; one grandson, Stephen; and nine brothers and sisters.
She is survived by three children, Kenny (Joyce) Waldridge and Rod Waldridge, both of Taylorsville, and Brenda (Donald) Dailey of Bloomfield; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville with Sr. Mavis Bennett officiating. Burial is in the Grove Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, at the funeral home.
