William “Dan” Worner, 70, of Shepherdsville, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025. He was born on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 1955, in Bardstown to Juanita Dillander.
He was a kind and lovable guy, that lived a happy life. He loved to read westerns. He always greeted women with “hey, baby girl”. He loved to fish when he had the opportunity and squirrel hunt. He also had the skill of removing a fishing pole from a pile and never got them tangled.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Ray Dillander.
He is survived by his mother, Juanita Dillander; his siblings,
one sister, Tammy Dillander; five brothers, Jimmy Dean “Brother #2”, Billy Ray Dillander, Philip Dillander, Dwayne Dillander and Vernon Neil Dillander; his special loving friend, Ms. Brenda who loved him for who he was; and a host of nephews and nieces and dear friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Colonial Health & Rehab in Bardstown for their outstanding care while he was in their care.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home in Shepherdsville with burial in the Little Brick Cemetery in Boston.
Visitation is 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at the funeral home.
