Two injured in Sunday morning rear-end collision on North Third Street

Sunday, March 4, 2012, 10:15 p.m. — Two women suffered minor injuries Sunday morning when the pickup truck they were in was struck from the rear by a Ford Mustang. Bardstown Police and Nelson County EMS were called to the area of the crash near the intersection of Old Nazareth Road and North Third Street about 9:25 Sunday morning. The pickup’s driver, described as a 55-year-old female, was suffering from head and back pain. Her passenger, a 72-year-old female, complained of head pain. Both were taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment. The driver of the other vehicle refused treatment by EMS.
