Cox’s Creek man injured in passenger car-motorcycle crash

Wednesday, March 7, 2012, 4 p.m. — A Cox’s Creek man was injured when his motorcycle struck a passenger car near the intersection of O’Bryan and North Third Street in the 600 block.

The crash happened just after noon Wednesday. According to Bardstown Police, John Noel of Springfield was turning from East O’Bryan into the southbound lanes of North Third Street when he pulled in front of a motorcycle operated by Jimmy Hellard of Cox’s Creek who was driving north. Hellard suffered minor head injuries in the crash.

The Bardstown Fire Department was called to clean up spilled gasoline from the motorcycle. Hellard was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment.
