Ruby B. Cornish, 95, Mount Eden

Ruby B. Cornish, 95, of Mount Eden, died Wednesday March 7, 2012, at Masonic Home of Shelbyville. She was born Sept. 12, 1916, in Anderson County. She was homemaker and a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Mount Eden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Callie Cornish; a brother, Damon Wilson; and a sister, Bonnie Froman.

She is survived by her daughter, June (Harold) Herndon of Mount Eden; three grandsons, Douglas “Junebug” (Carol) Herndon of Taylorsville, David (Teri) Herndon of Spartanburg, S.C., and Timothy (Tonya) Herndon of Mount Eden; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral is noon Monday, March 12, 2012, at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in Bardstown Cemetery. Brother Tom Conway and Brother Jesse Baxter will officiate.

Visitation is 12-6 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. -noon Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may go to Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Mount Eden.
