LUCIBELLE ALLEN 'LUCY' GEOGHEGAN
Lucibelle Allen “Lucy” Geoghegan, 84, of Bardstown, died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at U of L Hospital. She was born Nov. 14, 1927, inNelsonCounty. She was a homemaker, a member of Botland Homemakers Club, Genealogical Roundtable, Nelson County Historical Society, and Botland Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Michael Geoghegan; and parents, Arthur and Mildred Allen.
She is survived by her husband, Malcolm H. Geoghegan of Bardstown; five daughters, Mary Louise Newton and her husband John, Anne Taylor Geoghegan, and Doris Jean Geoghegan, all of Bardstown, Nancy Carolyn Hayden and her husband James “Mac” of Villa Hills, and Linda Sue Brady and her husband James of Bardstown; two sons, Malcolm Allen Geoghegan and his wife Cheryl of Frankfort, and William Arthur Geoghegan and his wife Susan of Huntsville, Ala.; one sister, Anita Allen; one brother, John Clifton Allen and his wife Doris, both of Bardstown; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Botland Christian Church, with burial inMillCreekBaptistCemetery. Brother Jerry Bennett will officiate.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10:15 a.m. Wednesday at Barlow Funeral Home.
