Joseph Marvin Hutchins, 79, of Loretto
Joseph Marvin Hutchins, 79, of Loretto, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.
Born Nov. 24, 1932, at Manton, he was a retired employee of G.E. Appliance Park in Louisville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of St. Francis of Assisi Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel “Teenie” Hutchins; his parents, Thomas Russell and Mary Liguori Sims Hutchins; infant son, Thomas Jude Hutchins; four brothers, Joseph Leon, Joseph Gerald, Joseph Valerian and Thomas Harold Hutchins; three sisters, Mauritia Ballard, Mary Grace Mattingly and Mary Ann Gardner.
Survivors include five sons, David Hutchins and his wife Cathy, and Frankie Hutchins and his wife Donna, all of Lebanon, Bill Hutchins and his wife Agnes of Springfield, Mark Hutchins and his wife Kim of Bardstown, Steven Hutchins and his wife Barbara of Loretto; two brothers, Howard Hutchins and his wife Sarah of Loretto, and Herbert Hutchins and his wife Sarah of Louisville; six sisters, Mary Catherine Willett and her husband Sam, Christine Lanham and her husband Robert, and Barbara Southerland all of Loretto, Sybil Blair and her husband Marion of Lebanon, Linda Mills and her husband J.W. of Mount Washington, and Lorene Miles and her husband Louie of Louisville; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2012, at St. Francis of Assisi Church in St. Francis with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Marion County Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military rites. The Rev. R. Joseph Hemmerle will be the celebrant.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 5 p.m.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jason, Eric, Chad, Adam, Matthew and Noah Hutchins.
Honorary Pallbearers will be granddaughters, Emily, Olivia, Alex, Holly and Kelly Hutchins and Cassie Downs.
