JACOB GLENN 'JAKE' DERTING

Jacob Glenn “Jake” Derting, 20, of Bardstown, died Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Murray State. He was born May 11, 1991, in Salisbury,N.C. He was a junior at Murray State University, a 2009 graduate of Nelson County High School, and a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

He is survived by his parents, Glenn and Karen Derting; a brother, Zachary Derting; sister, a Rachel Derting, all of Bardstown; paternal grandparents, Claude and Helena Derting of Hiltons, Va.; and maternal grandparents, John Bailey and Rachel Nolen of Adams, Tenn.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Barlow Funeral Home. Rodney Lynch and Dr. James Carroll will officiate.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Sunday at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to Parkway Baptist Church, Serve For Camp or Nelson County Library.
