Wendell ‘Glen’ Henon, 43, Louisville

Wendell “Glen” Henon, 43, of Louisville, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at his home.

He attended Kaleidoscope Adult Day Center where he was loved by all and served as their “Official Door Greeter.” As he has entered into heaven and greeted with open arms by many who have preceded him, may we all find comfort in knowing that one day he will be there to open the doors for us.

He was a member of Mother Seton Catholic Church and participated in Special Olympics where he won several awards in bowling. He graduated from Churchill Park in 1988.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Lee “Bill” Henon, Jr., and Dorothy “Dot” Robey Henon; and two brothers, William Lee “Johnny” Henon, III and James E. “Jimmy” Henon.

Survivors include his sister, Patty Henon of Louisville; two brothers, Dewayne Henon and his wife, Tammy, and his twin, Lynn Henon, all of Louisville; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in St. Francis with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. R. Joseph Hemmerle will be the celebrant.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2012, at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, 4895 N. Preston Hwy., Shepherdsville, and 2-7 p.m. Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 5 p.m. Friday.
