Bardstown man indicted on child pornography charges

Satuday, March 23, 2012, 1 a.m. — A Bardstown man was indicted Wednesday by a Nelson Circuit Court grand jury on child pornography charges.

Richard L. Keene, 44, was charged with 10 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, and 11 counts of distribtuing matter potraying a sexual performance by a minor. Keene was arrested by police and first charged on Feb. 16, 2012.

According to the indictment, between Sept. 4, 2011, and Jan. 15, 2012, Keene allegedly possessed and distributed matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only, plus conditions. Keene will be arraigned in Nelson Circuit Court on April 5, 2012.
