Bardstown firefighters respond to active alarm on W. John Fitch

Saturday, March 24, 2012, 11:55 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called out at 11:15 Saturday morning to Dr. Mark Abramovich’s office at 300 West John Fitch Ave. for an activated fire alarm. People in the building reported smelling unusual. Firefighters used thermal imaging cameras to check for areas where something might be hot or burning but concealed from view. They were unable to locate the source of the odor or find evidence of a fire. They were on scene for about 30 minutes.
