James Bernard “Jimmy” Houck, 81, of Bardstown

James Bernard “Jimmy” Houck, 81, of Bardstown, died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.

He was a native of Indianapolis,a U.S. Marine veteran who served in the Korean War. He was former owner of Rock Drilling Inc.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Everett B. and Ada Clements Houck; and his wife, Bonnie Lou Reed Houck.

He is survived by his daughter; Donna Gritton of Bardstown; and four grandchildren; Lindsey Gritton, Sean Gritton, Justin Gritton, and Josh Gritton, all of Bardstown.

A Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, at the Bardstown Cemetery. Cremation was chosen by the family.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions in care of the family to 141 WindsorAve., Bardstown, Ky., 40004.

Greenwell-Houghlin Northside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
