BB gun triggers report of possible shots fired near Foster Heights

Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, 5:15 p.m. (UPDATED)– A man shooting at a milk jug with a BB gun triggered a report to Bardstown Police that a man was shooting a handgun near the rear of Foster Heights Elementary School, 211 East Muir Ave. in Bardstown. An investigation by Bardstown police determined the “gun” was in fact a BB gun. A witness at the school told school officials what he saw and they called police. No students, staff or faculty at Foster Heights were in any danger. The initial call to police happened about 4:15 Thursday afternoon.
