Clara ‘Renee’ Donahue, 44, Holy Cross
Clara “Renee” Donahue, 44, of Holy Cross, died Sunday, March 25, 2012, from injuries sustained in an auto accident near Holy Cross.
She was born Dec. 24, 1967, in Louisville. She was employed as director of housekeeping at “The Village of Lebanon” nursing home and was a Catholic by faith. She was a recent participant in the St. Baldrick’s fundraiser. She also participated in the MS Walk and she loved playing softball.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank William “Possum” Donahue.
Survivors include her life companion, Bobby Mattingly; her daughter, Amber Mattingly (Justin Seale) of Lexington; her mother, Sharon Thompson Donahue of Holy Cross; two sisters, Robin Hutchins and her husband Junie of Holy Cross and Jacki Murphy and her husband Troy of Lebanon; one brother, Frank Donahue and his wife Jo Anna of Lebanon; three nieces, Abby Hutchins, Mallory Howard and Ashley Howard; and four nephews, Sidney Donahue, Trey Hutchins, Ethan Murphy and Skyler Murphy.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with burial in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Saint Francis. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will officiate.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto.
