Glynn Cheatham, 77, Chaplin

Glynn Cheatham, 77, of Chaplin, died Monday, March 26, 2012, at Signature Health Care in Taylorsville. He was born May 8, 1934, in Chaplin. He was a self-employed farmer,a Nelson County Magistrate for 12 years, a member of North East Nelson Fire Board, and Chaplin Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his son, Thad Cheatham; his parents, Sanford and Onita Cheatham; and one brother, Garnett Cheatham.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Cheatham of Chaplin; a son, Lowell Cheatham of Lexington; two brothers, Morgan Cheatham of Louisville, and Sanford Cheatham Jr., of Chaplin; two sisters, Elizabeth Hester Wise of Rolla, Mo., and Diana Roberts of Kennebunkport, Maine; and three grandchildren, Stephen Lowell Cheatham, Scott Brandon Cheatham, and Quince Cheatham.

His memorial service is 7 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown.
