Cox’s Creek man surprises 4 teens trying to break into his home

Friday, March 30, 2012, 9:45 a.m. — A Cox’s Creek resident surprised four teenagers who were at his home attempting to break in about 9:25 Friday morning. The resident called police after he returned to his home in the 6700 block of Louisville Road and found four white juveniles — two male and two female — attempting to break into his home through a window. As the teens tried to flee, the homeowner tackled the female, but she broke loose and made it to their vehicle, described as a small red car with a dent near the rear, possible a Nissan. The teens fled in the car, driven by one of the females, and were last scene leaving the old portion of Louisville Road and turning onto the new portion of US31E. The teens were described as being 16-17 years of age. The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office  investigated the incident. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle after a search of the area.
