First Cedar Creek Baptist Church sets Easter weekend services
Monday, April 2, 2012, 11:58 p.m. — The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church invites the community to join in worship and praise of our Savior, Jesus, Messiah this Easter weekend.
At 7 p.m. on Good Friday, April 6, 2012, a Service of Darkness will be experienced as scriptures and songs tell the story of Jesus’ betrayal and crucifixion. Candles will be extinguished and sanctuary lights will be dimmed until all is dark.
At 11 a.m. Sunday, April 8, 2012, TFCCBC adult choir will present “Savior, Jesus, Messiah” during the morning worship service. This lively cantata, an arrangement by Travis Cottrell that was created by David Moffitt and Sue C. Smith, celebrates the resurrection of Jesus.
The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church choir is led by Stephen Sims.
All are invited to attend these special services and other activities of the church including Bible study for all age groups at 9:45am each Sunday. For more information contact the pastor, Tim Lucas, at 502-348-3832.
