Firefighters called to Colonial House nursing home for active alarm

Monday, April 9, 2012, 5:30 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called to Colonial House Health & Rehab, 708 West Bartley Ave., for an active fire alarm that came in a few minutes past 5 p.m. Monday. Firefighters arrived to find residents evacuating the facility. Firefighters used thermal imaging cameras to check for fire in the area where the alarm sounded. Firefighters were unable to determine the cause of the fire. The alarm system was reset and didn’t reactivate.
