Kathryn Laureen “Laurie” Johnson Boone, 63, Bardstown

Kathryn Laureen “Laurie” Johnson Boone, 63 of Bardstown, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Lebanon and was a Catholic by faith. She was a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven.

She was preceded in death by her father, Patrick Dean Johnson Jr.; and a brother, Pat Johnson.

Surviviors include her loving husband, James Edward “Eddie” Boone; five daughters, Karen Boblett and her husband Dewayne of Bardstown, Becky Tatum and her husband T.J. of Bardstown, Cathy Boone of Charlotte, N.C., Kelly Gillum and her husband Jeff of Richmond, and Katie Bertuzzi of Elizabethtown; her mother, Nancy Lee Hubbard Johnson Head of New Haven; three brothers, Paul Johnson, Barth Johnson, and Fenton Johnson; three sisters, Martha Young, Nancy Derry and Sue Levonian; six grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating. Cremation was chosen.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2012, at the Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home with a prayer service Sunday evening.
