Motorcyclist arrested after attempting to flee from city police
Sunday, April 15, 2012, 9:15 a.m. — A motorcycle rider from Mount Washington was arrested early Sunday morning after he and two other motorcyclists fled at high speeds from a Bardstown Police officer on North Third Street. An officer attempting to stop the trio reported them fleeing at speeds topping 100 mph as they traveled north about 3:15 Sunday morning. One of the three motorcyclists, operating a 2000 Triumph motorcycle, stopped for the pursuing officer at Nelson County Implement north of Nazareth. Bullitt County police were advised of the other two motorcycles as well as a baby blue Pontiac GTO that was believed to be traveling with the group.
