Police respond to report of a body laying along Hwy 1066

Sunday, April 15, 2012, 7:43 p.m. — Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office were called Sunday morning about 8:15 to Hwy 1066 near Drake Ridge Road for a report of a man’s body laying along the roadway. The callers waited at the scene for police and EMS to arrive. Police reported the man, who was visiting from out of town, apparently had quite an adventure Saturday night and wound up passing out alone on Hwy 1066. He required no treatment by EMS. He was escorted to Rooster Run General Store where he was met by someone who gave him a ride home.
