Man airlifted to Louisville after motorcycle crash near Bloomfield
Sunday, April 15, 2012, 9 p.m. — A 41-year-old man operating a motorcycle suffered a variety of injuries in a motorcycle crash that happened near the intersection of Conley Avenue and Russell Road in the Bloomfield area about 6:30 Sunday evening. Nelson County EMS transported the victim to the helicopter pad at Flaget Memorial Hospital where he was flown to University Hospital in Louisville for treatment. The victim complained of shortness of breath and suffered numerous cuts and scrapes. He was not wearing a helmet. First responders say the man was thrown approximately 75 yards from where the crash happened.
