Woman injured when she and her dog are attacked by pit bull

Wednesday, April 18, 2012, 12:30 a.m. — A woman walking her dog was injured Tuesday evening when she and her pet were apparently attached by a pit bull terrier. At 5 p.m. Tuesday, Bardstown Police and Nelson County EMS were sent to the 200 block of West Broadway for the report of woman and her dog attacked by a pit bull. The owner of the pit bull was believed to live on Flaget. Police investigated the incident, and Nelson County Animal Control responded to the scene. The woman was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injury.
