Bardstown Rotary Club announces 2012 scholarship winners

Wednesday, April 25, 2012, 5 p.m. — Today the Bardstown Rotary Club presented scholarship to 10 local high school students totaling $12,000.Bardstown Rotary members, along with Anthony Orr, superintendent of Nelson County Schools, Kim Case, counselor at NCHS, counselor Andy Hall of Bethlehem and a number of parents were on hand to congratulate the students as Rotarian Tommy Reed named each recipient and asked them about their future plans. The students from Bardstown High were unable to attend but will be acknowledged at a future Rotary club meeting.
The students and their scholarship awards included:
- Victoria “Tori” Walter – Bardstown Rotary Club Scholarship – Bethlehem – $1000
- Alexandra Mudd –Founding Fathers Scholarship – Nelson County.- $1000
- Eden Wimpsett – Founding Fathers Scholarship – Nelson County.- $1000
- Michael Hardin-St. Catharine College Scholarship* – Bethlehem
- Barrett Greenwell-Tom Duncan Reed Memorial Scholarship- Bethlehem- $1000
- Lindsey Rogers- St. Catharine College Scholarship* – Bethlehem
- Madison Correro- Dr. John Benney Memorial Scholarship – Bardstown
- Amanda Newsome – Bob Murray Memorial Scholarship – Bardstown
- CaprishaGreen – Fr. Ben Brown Scholarship – Bardstown
- Clayton Brooks – Ron Filkins Memorial Scholarship – Bardstown
*$2000.00 scholarship ($1000 from Rotary & $1000 from St. Catharine)
