Rain will turn to snow; up to 2 inches accumulation in the forecast

Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, 9:30 a.m. — The rain currently falling across the county will change to a rain and snow mix before turning into all snow by mid-afternoon. We may wind up the day with up to 2 inches of snow accumulation.

Nelson County is under a Winter Weather Advisory through 4 p.m. Monday. Roadways may become snow covered and hazardous. Snow and ice on untreated roadways and bridges may stay around several days as the temperatures won’t rise above freezing again until Friday.
