Lois Ann ‘Sissy’ Tabor, 65, Elizabethtown

Lois Ann “Sissy” Tabor, 65, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday May 2, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was a native of Louisville, a former Bardstown resident and a graduate of the special needs class at Fairdale High School. She helped work at the family owned grocery store in Botland.

She was the daughter of the late Oscar Noble and Mary Rose Meyer Tabor, and was preceded in death by three brothers, Daniel A. Tabor, James L. Tabor, and John L. Tabor.

She is survived by 2 brothers, Roy Tabor and his wife Verna of Cecelia, and Mike Tabor and his wife Teresa of Hodgenville; two sisters, Jackie Ridgeway of Elizabethtown and Dolly Thelen and her husband Tom Thelen of Woodbridge, Va.; one sister-in-law, Marlene Tabor of Brooks; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Northside Funeral Home with Bro. James Harkness officiating. Burial will follow in Bardstown City Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012, and 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Kosair Childrens Hospital.

The Greenwell Houghlin Northside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
