Barbara Jean Donahue, 62, Bardstown

Barbara Jean Donahue, 62, of Bardstown, died Friday, May 4, 2012, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was born in Manton and retired in 1999 from Owens Illinois. She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in New Hope. She handmade over a 1,000 In Memory bears as a fundraiser for Nelson County Relay for Life.

She was the daughter of the late Edward & Alice McIntyre Kelty.

Survivors include her husband Thomas C. “Tommy” Donahue; one daughter, Melissa Jo “Missy” (Scott Landram) Newton of Bardstown; one son, Anthony “Tony” Dale (Michelle) Kelty of Lebanon; two sisters, Judy (Borgia) Nalley of Holy Cross, and Dorothy (Teddy) Marshall of Bardstown; one brother, Charles Kelty of Holy Cross; and 13 grandchildren.

The family has followed her wishes for cremation and a private Mmass will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy has been requested to Hospice of Nelson County, 111 N. Third St.,Bardstown, KY 40004.
