Catherine Taylor, 86, Bardstown

Catherine Taylor, 86, of Bardstown, died Friday, May 4, 2012m at her residence. She was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Chicago. She was a homemaker, a member of TOPS of Lebanon Junction and the Bardstown Homemakers. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church, and former member of The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Taylor; one son, Joe Taylor; one daughter, Betty Gilpin; her parents, Alton and Edna Coyle; one brother, Joseph “Sonny” Coyle; one sister, Beatrice Story; and one great-granddaughter, Colette Taylor.

She is survived by her three sons, Ronald C. Taylor of Louisville, David W. Taylor and his wife Carol of Shepherdsville, and Cecil Dale Taylor and his wife Robbi Taylor of Lebanon Junction; two daughters, Cheryl L. Walker and her husband Daniel Walker of Lebanon Junction, and Christy D. Ritchie and her husband Tim Ritchie of Bardstown; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2012, at The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church with burial in The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Herman Wilkins will officiate.

Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012, and 9-10:15 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2012, at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to The American Heart Association, The American Diabetes Association, or Hospice of Nelson County.
